Escanaba 9-10 Girls Capture District Championship
The Escanaba Minor Little League All-Star (age 8-10) softball team won the District Ten championship Thursday night, beating Gladstone, 12-1, at Cannon Field. Escanaba scored four runs in three different innings: the first, third, and fourth innings. Madison Mott threw a no-hitter for Escanaba with ten strikeouts. Tia Schone took the loss for Gladstone. Escanaba advances to the state tournament later this month in Jackson.
