Negaunee Wins Fifth Straight D-1 U.P. Tennis Title
The Negaunee Miners repeated as MHSAA Division One Upper Peninsula tennis champions on Thursday, edging Marquette, 15-13, at Kingsford High School. Menominee took third with nine points, followed by Kingsford (8), Gladstone (6), and Escanaba (5). The Miners won two flights and were runners-up in four others. Gladstone won the #1 doubles title, with Taylor Trudeau and Sydney Herioux winning a three-set thriller in the final.
