CALUMET KINGS: Red Wings, Blues In Hockeyville

CALUMET---The Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues are in Calumet for the Hockeyville USA game Thursday night at the Calumet Colosseum.

The teams were treated to a police and fire escort to the century-old arena, with hundreds of schoolkids waiting on both sides of a red carpet to get their items autographed. The teams also had their morning practices in the arena.

Later, two players from each team sat on chairs at center ice and answered questions from about a dozen fans over the Calumet public address system.

Several players and both head coaches also met with members of the media.

Northern Michigan University graduates Dominic Shine and Troy Loggins...members of the Detroit Red Wings...also talked with members of the local media.
