1,000 POINT CLUB: Megan Crow Leads Gladstone

GLADSTONE---
Gladstone High School senior Megan Crow scored 26 points and broke the 1,000 point mark for her career Thursday night as the Gladstone Braves beat the Manistique Emeralds, 59-36, in Gladstone.

Crow. a 6-foot-3 center, scored her team's first eight points and by halftime, she had poured in 20 of the 22 points she needed to reach the milestone as the Braves led, 36-12.

They wasted no time getting the 1,000th point on the board as, on the first possession of the third quarter, Crow took the pass near the free throw line and put it home.

The game was stopped as Crow hugged her teammates, her mother Brenda, and posed for pictures with her family and teammates. She would score two more baskets before sitting the bench the rest of the game, giving her 26 for the contest and 1,004 for the season.

It wasn't only the Megan Crow Show, however. Alaina Trudeau and Claire Van Ginhoven both shot well from outside and they each scored 14 points.

Manistique (3-7) was led by Bailey Allour with four triples and 15 points.

Gladstone impoved to 7-3 on the season and will host Escanaba Saturday afternoon.
