The 9-10 Minor Little League softball state tournament started Friday morning in Rochester Hills.
But before the first batch of pool play games could get out of the fourth inning, heavy rain rolled into suburban Detroit. And the forecast calls for it to keep pouring all day. so tournament officials called off the rest of the games.
The suspended games will be finished Saturday, then doubleheaders are scheduled.
Escanaba will play Midland Bullock Creek Southtown at 10:30 Saturday morning, and the game will be broadcast on WGMV-FM (Maverick 1063) and on-line at www.radioresultsnetwork.com.
Escanaba will play Three Rivers at 4:30. That game will not be broadcast due to coverage of the Escanaba 11-12 Major Boys in their state tournament.
