HARRIS---
A.J. Miley scored 18 points and Trevor Lippens added 16 as the Bark River-Harris Broncos beat the Forest Park Trojans, 57-54, in double overtime Monday night.

It was the first home court win of the season for the Broncos, and it didn't come easy as they had to withstand an early barrage of three-point baskets from Forest Park's Gavon Rintala.

Rintala mad four straight triples in the first quarter as Crystal Falls took a 14-5 lead after one quarter. And he scored five more points in the second quarter before the Broncos were able to shut him down and get their own offense going.

BR-H came from behind to taka a 21-19 halftime lead, and it stayed close from there as Forest Park led, 33-32, entering the fourth quarter,

A Trevor Lippens triple gave the Broncos a 35-33 lead, but Forest Park's Sam McKissick replied with an "and-one" basket and Felix Quevedo added a pair of Trojan baskets.

Logan Getzloff scored a triple for the Broncos and Kaden Drossaft put home a pair of baskets inside, but BR-H missed a chance to win the game when they couldn't get a shot off after holding the ball for the final 15 seconds out of a time out.

Both teams had chances to win in th first overtime, with Rintala draining another CFFP triple and Lippens replying for BR-H. The Trojans missed a would-be winnr, so it went to a second overtime tied at 48-48.

That's when Miley took over. He scored  on two-straight driving layups to start overtime, including a reverse layup, to make it 52-48. Lippens scored on a driving layup of his own and Miley scored his third basket of that second overtime to give BR-H a 57-51 lead.

McKissick swished a three-pointer with 30 seconds left to cut it to 57-54, and the Broncos had a chance to clinch it at the foul line with seven seconds to play. The free throws were no good, and Lippens got the rebound. But Logan Getzloff had the ball stripped by Rintala, who got off a desperation half-court shot that hit the rim as time expired.

Rintala led Forest Park with 23 points and McKissick added 15 points. The Trojans fell to 2-6 on the season.

Bark River-Harris improved to 2-5 as four players scored in double figures: Miley had 18, Lippens added 16, while Geztloff and Drossaft both contributed ten points.

Bark River-Harris travels to Rapid River Thursday for a rematch with the Rockets. The game will be broadcast on Eagle 107.3 FM and on-line at radioresultsnetwork.com.
