NO LOOKING AHEAD: Jets Roll Past Rapid River

POWERS---The North Central Jets tuned up for this Friday's big game in Menominee by racing to a 27-10 lead and beating the Rapid River Rockets, 70-44, Monday night in Powers.
The Jets shot the lights out in the first quarter, with Connor Florenski nailing three triples and Bradey Anderson and Jesse Sampson also added three-pointers.
The Rockets cut the defict to ten in the second quarter behnd triples by Ian Sundling and Rease Dawley, and a couple of baskets by Texas Cambron.
But Florenski made another three, and Luke Gorzinski and Bryson Mercier each attacked the basket and scored inside to give the Jets a 41-22 lead at halftime.
Sampson scored seven points in the third quarter as NCA outscored the Rockets 19-4 to put the game away with a 60-26 lead entering the fourth quarter.
The Jets substiuted freely from there, and the Rockets outscored NCA in the fourth quarter, 18-10, as Sundling scored eight points and Nick Nelson added a pair of triples.
Florenski led the Jets with 16 points. Anderson added 13, Sampson chipped in 12, and Trenton Naser contributed ten points.
Sundling led Rapid River with 23 points.
The Jets improved to 9-0 on the season. And unless the Menominee Maroons lose to Peshtigo on Thursday, it will be a 8-1 Menominee team that will host NCA Friday night. That game will be broadcast live from Menominee on Eagle 107.3 FM and radioresultsnetwork.com.
