ESCANABA---
The Escanaba High School wrestling team won a pair of dual meets Thursday night as they prepared for this Saturday's Upper Peninsula Finals.

Escanaba beat Negaunee, 46-30, and then turned back Westwood, 60-12.

Negaunee later edged Kingsford, 36-34.

Jarret Olsen won two matches at 189 pounds for Escanaba, pinning Westwood's Luke Mitchell in 1:00, and beating Negaunee's Nathan Keough on a 9-0 decision.

Also winning twice for the Eskymos was Cade Krueger at 112 pounds. He pinned Negaunee's Phoenix Espinoza in 2:33, and then pinned Westwood's Lindsay Williams in 4:44.

Escanaba 125-pounder Charley McInerney put in just 17 seconds of wrestling on Thursday. That's how long it took for him to pin Westwood's Odin Harvala. McInerney did not have an opponent against Negaunee and won on a forfeit.

At 130 pounds, Escanaba's Trevor DeGrand pinned Westwood's Leonard Dipzinski in 1:05. DeGrand also received a forfeit win from Negaunee, which left the weight class open.

Westwood's two wins against the Eskymos came on pins by 215-pounder Spencer Harvala over AJ Hart (in 2:50), and by 152-pounder Lenny Pizziola over Drew Griffin (in 1:15).
