Eskymos Crush Maroons In Mercy-Shortened Game


MENOMINEE---Scott Hiller had three hits and drove in six runs as the Escanaba Eskymos pounded the Menominee Maroons, 21-1, Monday at Spies Field.

Hunter Lancour had a pair of RBI doubles (three total RBI), and Bon LaChance had a two-run single. Matt Zimmerman added an RBI double. Chase Cloutier also drove in two runs.

Trent Lawson earned the pitching win by throwing two innings in a game that was called by the mercy rule after three innings. Adam Willette threw the final inning for Escanaba (14-7).

Menominee used five pitchers, who combined to give up 13 hits and issue eight walks.
