15-2-1: Redmen Outslug Flivvers For Road Victory
KINGSFORD---The Marquette Redmen traveled to Kingsford on Thursday for a boys varsity soccer game and came home with a 6-3 victory to improve their record to 15-2-1 on the season.'
Kingsford got on the board first just three minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead.
Marquette then rattled off five unanswered goals for a 5-1 halftime lead.
Max Dawson got Marquette on the board off an Ezra Pickard assist.
Pickard then scored the next three goals with assists coming from Henry Wood, Dawson and Kaleb Chipelewski, and Dawson again.
Dixon Poggi finished the first half scoring on an unassisted corner kick goal.

“Our team came ready to play tonight. We knew it was going to be a good game and our offense really came to life. Ezra Pickard had a phenomenal game," Redmen Coach Dan Salmon said.
Marquette travels to Alpena for a tournament on Saturday. The record on the season is 15-2-1.
