Ishpeming To Host 10u Little League State Tourney
ISHPEMING---One of the final Little League Baseball state tournaments to be held in Michigan will be the Minor Baseball (age 8-10) tournament in Ishpeming this weekend.
Sixteen teams from around the state will play in the event, which starts Friday. Two Upper Peninsula teams: Gladstone and Negaunee, will be a part of the tournament.
The schedule starts with pool play on Friday, and continues Saturday and Sunday. Every team is guaranteed to play three games. Then on Monday, eight teams will compete in single elimination bracket play in the quarterfinal round. Tuesday will see the state semifinals involve the final four teams, and on Wednesday, the state championship game is scheduled for noon.
